It’s a Supernatural Paddle Party on the Slough!

Gather on the water for the best costume party in town! 5th Annual community paddle: Witches & Wizards on The Water! Perfect for ghouls, goblins, witches, wizards, river monsters, and fans of all things creepy and crawly. Hint: Book one of our boats, boards or water bikes in advance to beat the crowds!

The Trick-or-Treat Paddle Trail stretches up and down the river; gather a variety of goodies from riverside businesses and organizations at their stations! Pick up your map and special cloth bag at the top of either ramp, near Weller Street or Baskin Robbins in the River Plaza shopping center.

From 12 to 1 pm, paddle by the judges at Grand Central Cafe on the east side of the basin and enter our Costume Contest for a chance to win fabulous prizes! Categories include: Best LITTLE Costume, Most Nautical, Most Petaluman, and Best Group Costume. (Be sure to give the registrar stationed near the judges your contact info so we can contact you when you win!)

ACCESS NOTES: At the time of this writing (August, 2025), we expect The Floathouse to be relocated to its original location in the turning basin, accessible via the ramp between Baskin Robbins and TAPS. Those renting our rowboats, SUPS, canoes, giant paddle board, or pedal kayaks, pedal SUPs or water bikes will have easy access via our docks on the water in the turning basin.

TEMPORARY PARKING AND OFFLOADING: If you bring your own people-powered boats or paddle boards, please do your temporary parking and offloading at one of the following THREE locations: 1) Weller Street (near River House) 2) River Plaza Shopping Center parking lot near Baskin Robbins 3) Petaluma Yacht Club at 10 C Street. You can park in the C Street Parking Garage or around town for the duration of the event.

Rentals: 90- and 120-minute sessions available all day, 9 am to 5 pm.*.
