Normally, our classic sit-on-top paddle kayaks rent for $30/hour. But right now? You can enjoy an hour to yourself for just $25.

Every day on the Petaluma River holds a little magic.
With a full hour of free “me-time,” courtesy of The Floathouse Crew, you can chart your own course—glide upstream into the lush, quiet greenery beyond the head of navigation, where herons wade and everything slows down… or head straight through the heart of downtown. Paddle past the lively Turning Basin, slip under the historic D Street Bridge, and cruise into the Riverfront Warehouse District. You'll pass the local rowing club, two city parks, striking public art, and friendly faces on the water.

All of our boats, boards and water bikes are beginner friendly and expert approved. The sit-on-top kayaks are very stable, and we’ll even show you how to paddle so you’ll stay dry from your own paddling.

Wear whatever you would wear to go walking outside on the day you’ve booked your experience: comfortable closed-toe shoes or flip flops if it’s warm, a hat and/or sunglasses if it’s sunny, a windbreaker if it’s breezy.
Your PFD (personal flotation device/life vest) will keep your upper half warm, so a lighter layer there is appropriate.

First things first: comfort begins with hydration. We suggest you bring a refillable water bottle (we have filtered water at the dock).
Do you want to document the sights along the way? If you bring a phone for taking photos, we’ll lend you a phone case to keep it handy.
And of course you should bring your sense of adventure; whether you’re looking for a quiet float or a quick workout, we’ll help guide you.
