This two-hour, six-mile downriver run on the Petaluma River takes you out of the everyday and into a natural nirvana; the wetlands are vast, the tide is going out, and, if you choose, a sauna and cold plunge await you at your destination, Lakeville Landing Marina / Sundrop Sauna. Nothing is better than getting out in nature on a people-powered boat! (Hobie pedal kayak).

It’s nearly the end of the year, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be going inside. On the contrary, we invite you to come play on the Petaluma River at night, and enjoy the Full Cold Moon Paddle with your friends, family and The Floathouse Petaluma Crew! On Saturday, December 6th, ride an 8.1-foot tide on a magical upstream paddle—this special tide opens up the river in all its glory.

The combination of this massive tide and the winter season creates an awe-inspiring natural landscape, with box turtles, seasonal waterfalls, and more waiting to be discovered. Celebrating the river has never been so important—or so fun. Hail to our friends at Friends of the Petaluma River as you paddle around the McNear Peninsula and soak in the Rivertown Revival festivities. The sun sets at 8:30, and the tide continues to rise, peaking at 7.5' by 9:24. This rare timing gives us glorious access into the McNear Channel and a real sense of the river’s beautiful shape. Join The Floathouse Crew for this confluence of natural magic and community celebration!

Bands on The Basin 2025
Petaluma’s only floating concert returns for its 5th year—bringing live music, river fun, and community spirit to the Turning Basin. Paddle in, rent a boat, or enjoy the show from a nearby patio.
