Full Beaver Moon Paddle / Pedal

As the Beaver Moon rises—a moon named for our famously industrious river neighbor settling in for winter—we’ll be doing the opposite: heading out for a little fresh air, gentle movement, and moonlit magic on the Petaluma River.
This year’s Beaver Moon is also a supermoon, appearing especially large and luminous as it lifts over the wetlands just minutes before sunset. That timing gives us a rare and wonderful overlap of glowing moonlight and lingering daylight—one of those evenings when the river feels especially alive and generous.
We’ll glide along in comfy, stay-dry Hobie pedal kayaks, an easy and playful way to enjoy the water while getting the body moving. From our favorite viewing spot, we’ll watch the moon rise, reflections shimmer, and the day quietly give way to night—all in the good company of fellow moon admirers.
