Bundle up and join us for a rare and luminous winter evening on the Petaluma River under the Full Cold Moon—a supermoon and the third and final supermoon of 2026. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, this December full moon will appear larger and brighter than average, making it one of the closest and most radiant moons of the year.
We’ll be on the water from 4–6 pm, and the timing couldn’t be better: the moon rises just fifteen minutes before the sun sets, meaning we’ll be basking in the overlapping glow of both of our heavenly guardians. Expect lingering daylight, a rising silver moon, and that fleeting, magical moment when sunset and moonrise share the sky over Petaluma’s Longest Park. It’s a special kind of beauty—and a perfect excuse to come together, bundle up, and build community in the heart of winter.
You’ll be comfortably seated in our stay-dry Hobie pedal kayaks, guided by a knowledgeable local host. Dress warmly, breathe in the crisp evening air, and let the river and the moon do the rest.
