Full Moon Paddle: The Wolf Moon

Celebrate the first full moon of 2026 with The Floathouse Crew on a magical evening paddle!

As the sun slips below the horizon, its fading light illuminates the moon as she rises above the Petaluma River. On this night, the Wolf Moon (a Supermoon!) will appear especially bright and large, creating a stunning reflection on the water as we pedal out to one of the river’s best moon-viewing spots. Book your awesome moonlight adventure here! ($60/person includes gear, guide and magical nighttime sights and sounds.)

To stay warm, dry, and comfortable, we’ll paddle aboard The Floathouse’s high-quality Hobie pedal kayaks, allowing us to move at a relaxed, social pace while keeping hands free to take in the view. We’ll depart The Floathouse in downtown Petaluma at approximately 4:30 pm, reach our viewing location in time for moonrise around 5:28 pm, and enjoy the quiet magic of the river after dark.

As always, this is a beginner-friendly experience, perfect for first-time night paddlers and seasoned river lovers alike. The gentle rhythm of pedaling, shimmering moonlight, and shared sense of wonder make this one of our most beloved paddles.

We’ll return to the dock by 6:30 pm, just in time to continue the evening downtown. All Full Moon Paddle participants enjoy a 15% discount at TAPS, located right on the river.
