The Great River Town Egg Hunt (Floathouse Community Support Day!)

Join us on the water for one of the most playful mornings of the season!
The Great River Town Egg Hunt—hosted by our friends, River Town Racers, turns Petaluma’s Turning Basin into a floating scavenger hunt, where paddlers of all ages can search for hidden eggs (and maybe even a golden one 👀). All proceeds benefit River Town Racers, Petaluma’s own all-ages sprint kayak team!
The Floathouse will be open for regular rentals during the event, and while our standard pricing applies, we’re proud to support this fantastic local youth program by donating 10% of all rentals from 10–12 directly to River Town Racers. Skills demos by River Town Racers paddlers will take place between the turning basin and the D Street Bridge between 10:00 and 11:00 am. The best viewing location will be at Grand Central Petaluma, at 226 Weller Street.
Rent a kayak, paddleboard, or other fun craft from us, or bring your own boat or board and join the hunt! Expect a festive, family-friendly vibe with creative costumes, decorated boats, and plenty of springtime energy on the water. Onshore, there will be arts & crafts for kids, and fun awards will follow the paddle.
Whether you're in it to win it or just out to soak up the scene, it’s a great way to get on the river, support local youth athletes, and be part of something uniquely Petaluma.
Pre-registration required through River Town Racers. $25 for adults, $15 for kids. Floathouse solo watercraft rentals range from $30 to $40 for the hour (10:30-11:30 is the egg hunt!)
