Making Boating Safer For Everyone, Today & Tomorrow…

Our focus has always been on creating an exceptional Petaluma River experience—and as our programs and visitor numbers continue to grow, it’s time to strengthen an important part of that experience: on-the-water safety.

Our top priority is a safety launch suited to our local waters: an 11’-10” Highfield 360CFT RIB with a 25-horsepower motor. This nimble, reliable boat will allow us to respond quickly on the water , assist paddlers, and support tours. Its aluminum hull, inflatable sides, and center console controls make it far safer and more practical than traditional outboards.

We also plan to install a drive-on dock system to protect the safety launch and the river environment. (Storing the boat on the dock means we won’t need to apply toxic bottom paints. ) We will also add several swim ladders so people can easily exit the water, and would like to install an AED at The Floathouse too.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to undertake these important safety upgrades. With your help, we can further ensure that everyone who steps onto our docks—today and for years to come—has the safest, most enjoyable experience on our remarkable river.
